Vida Education is seeking passionate and motivated individuals to join our team as Cover Supervisors. Working in secondary schools across Preston and surrounding areas, we offer day-to-day, short-term, and long-term cover supervisor work, with flexibility to suit your availability.
WHAT IS A COVER SUPERVISOR?
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise secondary pupils (aged 11-16) in the absence of their regular teacher, delivering pre-set lessons across various subjects.
COVER SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Managing the behaviour of pupils following the school behaviour policies.
A SUCCESSFUL COVER SUPERVISOR WILL HAVE:
- Previous experience working with children (desirable but not essential – we offer full training).
- A desire to work in education and support students' growth.
WE PROVIDE FREE COVER SUPERVISOR TRAINING:
Since 2015, we've been offering high-quality Cover Supervisor training, with many of our team members progressing to successful teaching careers. Our training includes:
- Emphasis on safeguarding, covering both safeguarding of pupils but also yourself as a cover supervisor.
Complete a registration with Vida Education which includes holding a current Enhanced DBS registered with the DBS Update Service, or be prepared to apply for a new ENHANCED DBS.
