The Head of Human Resources will be responsible for maintaining and strengthening the people practices of VICTVS – ensuring the organisation maintains high professional standards in recruitment, development and people management. The role will support senior leaders to build effective teams, manage complex people matters and strengthen our culture of accountability, professionalism and engagement. This role requires a structured and disciplined leader with strong judgement and a commitment to developing people. Candidates with leadership experience in highly structured environments, including the Armed Forces, are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead internal recruitment processes while strengthening the VICTVS employer brand.
- Oversee international recruitment and contribute Human Resources expertise across multiple jurisdictions.
- Monitor right to work renewal requirements and ensure compliance across all regulated areas.
- Streamline onboarding processes and standardise expectation setting for all new employees.
- Develop structured induction plans and support senior managers in their implementation.
- Enhance employee retention and engagement strategies.
- Work with Learning and Development to improve performance frameworks and Personal Development Review criteria aligned to roles, progression and pay.
- Act as first point of contact for general Human Resources support to line managers, including handbook guidance and enabling confident policy application.
- Act as first point of contact for complex people matters, including underperformance and disciplinary processes, including development of tools such as Performance Improvement Plan templates.
- Provide Mental Health First Aid support and promote wellbeing initiatives.
- Coach senior managers and leaders on Human Resources, Learning and Development and engagement topics.
- Evaluate and implement improvements to Human Resources and Learning and Development systems, including reviewing current platforms and improving performance review processes.
- Work with external HR advisors to ensure our policies and procedures are fully up to date and compliant.
Strategic Planning and Growth:
- Develop workforce planning approaches aligned to organisational growth.
- Strengthen leadership capability across departments.
- Ensure consistent people practices across international operations.
Internal Leadership and Collaboration:
- Act as a trusted adviser to senior leadership on people and organisational matters.
- Promote high standards, accountability and professionalism across the organisation.
- Support managers in leading teams effectively and consistently.
Accountabilities:
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all Human Resources matters.
- Ensure consistent application of standards across all departments.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Significant experience in a senior Human Resources or people leadership role.
- Experience in recruitment, onboarding and employee engagement.
- Strong understanding of employment law and compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting complex people matters and disciplinary processes.
- Strong coaching and leadership capability.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
Desirable:
- International Human Resources experience.
- Experience implementing or improving Human Resources systems and platforms.
- Leadership experience in structured environments such as the armed forces.
