We are partnering with an independently owned, fast‑growing fiduciary and tax services group that is seeking an experienced UK Tax Client Director to lead its Offshore Trust Advisory function. This rare and senior position is well suited to a highly technical private client tax specialist with expertise in offshore trusts, complex structuring and multi‑jurisdictional matters. You will take immediate responsibility for a complex client portfolio, provide high‑level UK tax advice, mentor junior advisers and help drive the continued expansion of the private client tax practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced UK tax advice on offshore trusts, including anti‑avoidance rules, distributions and remittance considerations.
- Oversee analysis of complex trust documentation and structures to ensure alignment with UK tax law and international reporting frameworks.
- Lead technical reviews of offshore structures, including stockpile gains calculations and trust winding‑up strategies, ensuring defensibility and optimisation within HMRC guidelines.
- Deliver integrated planning covering cross‑border structuring, wealth preservation and international mobility.
- Support and mentor junior team members across multiple offices.
- Identify advisory opportunities and contribute to business development activities.
Skills and Experience
- CTA, STEP or equivalent qualification.
- Extensive experience advising HNW and UHNW clients on offshore trust taxation.
- Strong knowledge of fiduciary and corporate services.
- Proven ability to interpret legislation, assess risks and provide practical solutions.
- Experience working across multiple offices or jurisdictions is advantageous.
