We have an opportunity for a Process Operator to join our Melt Filtration and Compounding teams on a fixed term basis for 18 months based at our Hillhouse site in Thornton-Cleveleys, Lancashire.
More About The Role
As Process Operator you will operate our manufacturing processes to the required quality and safety standards and relevant operating procedures, ensuring that we deliver to agreed production plans. You will undertake appropriate plant maintenance tasks to ensure efficient and effective operation of plant production. We require all our operators to maintain required standards of plant housekeeping to ensure safe and efficient working practices. The role requires you to identify continuous improvement opportunities within the scope of the role and support wider activities to enable the business to deliver in the most effective and efficient way possible.
Your Experience
Our ideal candidate will bring experience working in a manufacturing/hazardous environment where safety is a key priority, along with experience of working in a busy team, delivering to plan and adhering to strict processes and procedures. You’ll also be able to problem solve and troubleshoot within the remit of the Process Operator role. Due to the physical nature of the role, you must be capable of carrying out physical work such as lifting and climbing stairs in addition to working in confined spaces. The nature of the role involves 24/7 shift working and is eligible for Shift Disturbance Allowance (SDA).
Essential Qualifications
5 GCSEs including English and Maths at minimum of Grade C/4, or equivalent.
