Lead Engineering Excellence at Victrex

We're looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our multidisciplinary engineering team based at our Hillhouse manufacturing site.

This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll shape engineering strategy, drive operational improvement, and ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of our assets.

You'll lead teams across Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Control & Instrumentation and DCS Engineering, while playing a key role in major capital investment programmes, plant turnarounds and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • What You'll Be Responsible For
  • Leading and developing a team of Engineering Leads and multi-disciplinary engineers.
  • Providing technical leadership across a complex COMAH-regulated manufacturing site.
  • Driving improvements in reliability, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and cost of manufacture.
  • Acting as the technical authority for engineering standards, process safety and management of change.
  • Supporting the delivery of capital projects, shutdowns and strategic improvement programmes.
  • Shaping future engineering strategy and influencing major investment decisions.
  • Promoting a culture of safety, compliance, innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Proven leadership experience within a manufacturing, chemical, process or industrial environment.
  • Strong experience managing complex engineering assets on a COMAH-regulated site.
  • Expertise across multiple engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, process and control systems.
  • Demonstrable success leading engineering teams and driving performance improvements.
  • Strong understanding of process safety, functional safety, engineering standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Passion for coaching, developing and growing engineering talent.
