We are seeking a Process Improvement Technician to lead and deliver improvement projects across plant areas, ensuring manufacturing processes are controlled, optimized, and aligned with quality standards. This role supports the transition of new products and developments from R&D into business-as-usual operations, while driving global Quality Control excellence through harmonized testing methodologies, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead improvement projects to reduce product variability and optimize plant capability, improving efficiency, quality, cost, throughput, and yield.
- Provide technical support for changing plant performance, customer requirements, and new product introductions.
- Apply process improvement principles (e.g., Six Sigma) to ensure successful adoption of improvements.
- Conduct advanced troubleshooting and train others to enhance manufacturing capability.
- Manage the transfer of products and equipment from development into manufacturing.
- Drive global QC excellence in testing methodologies, data trend analysis, and operational efficiency.
- Lead continuous improvement programs to enhance QC capability and reduce customer complaints.
- Investigate non-conforming products and customer complaints, ensuring appropriate resolutions.
- Monitor product quality performance and lead experimental programs for process or product improvements and changes.
- Support design assurance activities, including verification and validation.
Experience & Skills
- Significant industrial experience delivering technical solutions to improve quality, capability, and cost of manufacture.
- Practical knowledge of Six Sigma or similar CI techniques (Green Belt desirable).
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, planning and prioritisation skills.
- Proven ability to drive change and implement continuous improvements.
- Working knowledge of continuous improvement tools and techniques.
- Experience developing FMEAs, control plans, and working within a Quality Management System.
- Skilled in data analysis, risk management, and project management methodologies.
- Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
