If you are an interim procurement leader who combines strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery, and you are motivated by solving complex supply challenges in a global manufacturing environment, we would like to hear from you.

We are looking for someone who can bring pace, commercial discipline and strategic category leadership to protect security of supply, unlock value and strengthen supplier performance across a complex international manufacturing environment.

This would be for a period of c10 months whilst our Procurement Lead is on maternity leave.

Our supplier base is central to how Victrex delivers for customers globally.

As Interim Global Procurement Lead, you will lead delivery of the sourcing strategy for key categories.

You will lead the team to deliver supplier negotiations, manage significant contracts and build robust dual‑sourcing routes for strategic and business‑critical materials.

  • What you’ll do
  • Lead the global procurement strategy balancing cost, quality, resilience and continuity of supply.
  • Lead the team in identifying, evaluate and select suppliers that meet business, technical and customer requirements.
  • Negotiate, execute and manage complex supplier contracts in line with corporate policies and governance.
  • Manage KPIs and SLAs, driving corrective action and supplier development where needed.
  • Analyse category performance and spend to identify productivity, savings and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and business leaders to deliver sourcing projects and category plans.
  • What you’ll bring
  • Strong procurement leadership and category management experience in a multinational, regulated or technically complex environment.
  • A proven track record in supplier sourcing, negotiation, contract management and supplier performance improvement.
  • Commercial confidence, analytical judgement and the ability to turn market insight and spend data into clear decisions.
  • Experience managing high‑value, complex or international supplier relationships.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing and business case presentation skills.
  • The ability to work at pace, challenge constructively and bring structure to ambiguity.
  • CIPS/MCIPS qualification, or progress towards it, would be advantageous.
