We are looking for an Instrument Technician to work as part of the Maintenance Team, providing expertise across all production assets at Hillhouse to ensure operations meet the required SHE, Production and Quality targets.
Responsibilities
- Pro‑active preventative maintenance
- Systematic and robust testing of functional safety circuits
- Effective corrective maintenance and problem solving to prevent unplanned equipment downtime
- Identify and eliminate equipment faults and implement improvements to reduce hazards and future downtime
Qualifications
- Experienced Instrument Technician with detailed knowledge of process measurement systems (Pressure, Temperature, Level, Weight, Flow, Speed and analytical instruments)
- Experience carrying out routine maintenance, calibration, loop checking, functional testing and commissioning of analogue, digital and SIL‑rated instrumentation and associated control systems
- Sound working knowledge of ATEX regulations and working in hazardous areas with a high level of SHE awareness
- Relevant HNC or equivalent and completion of an Engineering apprenticeship, NVQ or equivalent experience
- Effective communication and team working skills, robust problem‑solving and fault‑finding capability with high attention to detail
- Working knowledge of electrical systems and understanding of Fieldbus communication systems (beneficial)
