We’re looking for a motivated and commercially curious Assistant Management Accountant to join us on a 12-month fixed term basis.
Role Purpose
The role is responsible for producing timely and accurate financial information, partnering with stakeholders to provide meaningful insights, and supporting budgeting, forecasting, and performance management processes to drive business success.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the production of monthly financial reports, including analysis of key variances
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles, providing insight into changing business drivers
- Using and developing financial models and tools to improve reporting efficiency
- Identifying risks and opportunities and communicating these clearly to stakeholders
- Supporting financial elements of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process to align with production volumes
- Working in partnership with supply chain and plant teams to drive cost improvements and operational understanding
- Contributing to half-year and full-year financial processes
What we’re looking for
- A solid understanding of key financial principles and how they apply in a business setting
- Excellent IT skills, particularly in data analysis, modelling and financial systems
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with a proactive, problem‑solving mindset
- Experience using ERP systems (desirable)
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with non‑financial stakeholders
- Currently studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent
