Join Victrex’s Finance Shared Services team and play a key role in supporting accurate, compliant and efficient accounting activities across the business. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with detail, thrives in a structured environment and wants to build experience within a professional finance function.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting both internal and external accounting activities, helping to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
- Processing invoices and purchase orders in line with agreed service level agreements.
- Processing employee expenses in accordance with company policy.
- Processing customer receipts and completing associated reconciliations.
- Supporting weekly payment runs in line with internal controls and processes.
- Reconciling cash, purchase and receivables ledgers in line with the month-end timetable.
- Maintaining clean ledgers by clearing aged items, investigating balances and reporting through KPIs.
- Supporting compliance with regional tax and other regulatory requirements as appropriate.
What we’re looking for
- Someone who is organised, reliable and able to work accurately to deadlines.
- The ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft tools, including Excel.
- Experience of using finance or accounting systems.
- A methodical approach with good attention to detail.
Qualifications
- 5 GCSEs at grade 9–4 (A*–C), including Maths, or equivalent – essential.
- Accounting or bookkeeping skills, or equivalent experience – desirable.
