Process Operator – Shift Relief

We are looking for a Process Operator – Shift Relief to join our APTIV film plant manufacturing team at our Hillhouse site in Thornton‑Cleveleys, Lancashire.

Role Overview

Operate manufacturing processes to required quality and safety standards and comply with operating procedures.

Deliver to agreed production plans, carry out scheduled plant maintenance, and maintain plant housekeeping to ensure safe, efficient working practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor production equipment and processes.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to support plant production.
  • Adhere to safety procedures, working in confined spaces and following 24/7 shift rotation.
  • Identify and propose continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Support shift hand‑over activities and maintain production records.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at minimum Grade C/4, or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or hazardous environment where safety is a priority.
  • Ability to work in a busy team, meet production plans, and follow strict procedures.
  • Problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills within the role remit.
  • Physical capability to lift, climb stairs, and work in confined spaces.

24/7 shift work with shift disturbance allowance (SDA) available.
