You are a seasoned event marketing leader with deep experience managing trade shows and field events across EMEA. You thrive in complex, fast-moving environments, love solving problems, and excel at cross-functional collaboration. You are highly autonomous and thoughtful — someone who doesn’t just ask questions, but does the work to find answers, evaluate options, and present decision-ready insights to leadership. You balance independent execution with strong judgment, knowing when to ask for input and when to confidently move forward.
Constructor is the next-generation platform for search and discovery in ecommerce, built to explicitly optimize for metrics like revenue, conversion rate, and profit. Our search engine is entirely invented in-house utilizing transformers and generative LLMs, and we use its core and personalization capabilities to power everything from search itself to recommendations to shopping agents. Engineering is by far our largest department, and we’ve built our proprietary engine to be the best on the market, having never lost an A/B test to a competitive technology. We’re passionate about maintaining this and work on the bleeding edge of AI to do so.
We are looking for a Senior Event Marketing Manager (Contract) to lead Constructor’s EMEA events while a full-time team member is on maternity leave. This is a senior-manager-level, fully remote, individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Global Events (based in Washington, D.C. / Eastern Time). The contract runs from August 15, 2025 to April 15, 2026, structured to allow a 1-month onboarding period before the full-time team member begins maternity leave, followed by 6 months of leave coverage and a 1-month transition period upon their return. This role requires approximately 30% travel across EMEA, primarily to events in Germany, the U.K., and Sweden – this includes multi-day travel to support on-site event execution.
This person will be responsible for independently planning and executing Constructor’s presence at industry trade shows, conferences, and field events. You’ll manage every aspect of the event lifecycle — from strategy and vendor management to onsite execution and post-event lead follow-up — while collaborating closely with our EMEA sales and SDR teams, and cross-functionally with the broader marketing team. Although you’ll work autonomously day-to-day, key decisions — especially those involving budget, brand, and activations — must be reviewed and approved by the Director of Global Events. You should be prepared to present research-backed recommendations to streamline decision‑making and keep things moving.
