The Trustees at Victorious Academies Trust would like to appoint a casual Supply Teacher to work across our schools in Tameside, Glossop and Stockport.

Location: Greater Manchester (Tameside, Glossop and Stockport)

Contract Type: Flexible Supply

Salary: Daily rate based on experience and capped at Teacher Main Pay Scale 6

The Role: We are seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Supply Teachers to join our team and work across our schools in Greater Manchester. This role offers flexibility and variety, enabling you to deliver high-quality teaching in different settings while making a positive impact on pupils’ learning and development. This role may include short term or long-term assignments, alongside ad hoc assignments in any one of our schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate in line with ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ and the Teacher Standards
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the UK curriculum, for planned and unplanned teacher absences.
  • The role requires flexibility to teach in EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
  • Manage classroom behaviour to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth transitions for pupils.
  • Utilise a range of teaching resources and technologies to enhance learning.
  • Follow safeguarding policies to ensure pupil safety and wellbeing.
  • To comply with our Trust policies.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualifications.
  • Availability, at short notice, is essential as assignments may range from on the day of emergency cover for teacher absence to planned absences for training, PPA or long-term absence.
  • Enhanced DBS registration on the update service is essential. Anyone without one must be willing to apply for one as part of the recruitment process.
  • Strong understanding of the UK curriculum (EYFS, KS1, KS2).
  • Previous experience in primary or secondary school settings.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different teaching environments and schools.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to pupil success.
  • Flexibility and reliability to meet varying supply needs.
  • Willing to engage with our Trust Induction Day, Safeguarding Training and any other statutory training required for the role.
