What You’ll Be Doing

  • Strategic Partnership: Act as the key HR point of contact for Tech leadership, proactively understanding business priorities and talent needs.
  • Talent & Acquisition Support: Work with the recruitment team and managers to develop effective recruitment strategies for technical roles, ensuring we attract and retain top‑tier talent.
  • Performance Management: Drive and support the performance cycle, providing expert guidance on goal setting and constructive feedback mechanisms tailored for technical teams.
  • Organisational Design & Development: Advise on workforce planning and change management to optimise team structures and enhance efficiency.
  • Employee Relations: Provide expert advice and resolution on complex employee relations matters, supporting managers with fairness and compliance.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Partner on competitive and equitable compensation and benefit offerings to retain our best builders and coders.
  • Culture & Engagement: Champion initiatives that foster a positive, inclusive, and vibrant work environment where our tech employees can excel and innovate.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Significant HRBP Experience: Proven track record supporting managers in technology or development functions.
  • Tech Literacy: Understanding of software development methodologies, roles and skill sets.
  • HR Mastery: In‑depth knowledge of Performance Management, Compensation, Employee Relations and Organisational Development.
  • Exceptional Consulting Skills: Strong coaching, influencing and rapport‑building abilities with senior tech leaders and managers.
  • Analytical Prowess: Ability to use HR data and analytics to diagnose issues, propose solutions and inform decisions.
  • UK Employment Law: Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Qualifications (Highly Desirable): Relevant degree or professional HR qualification (e.g., CIPD Level 5 or 7).

During the first six months of employment you’ll be based mainly on‑site in our Leyland/Skelmersdale and Manchester offices. After this period a hybrid model will be discussed at interview (Full Time 40 Hours per Week).
