At Victorian Plumbing, our logistics division Sovereign Transport Services (STS) is expanding, and we’re looking for a top-tier HGV Class 1 Tramper to join the team. Forget boring local loops. This role is all about hitting the UK road network, keeping our supply pipeline moving, and picking up some seriously good extra cash along the way. You'll be backed by a highly supportive team at base who ensure your routes are planned smoothly so you can focus on doing what you do best.
The Perks & Financial Boosts (Why STS?):
- Massive Overtime: Overtime is paid at a premium rate of £18.00 an hour (our Trampers average around 15 hours of overtime a week!).
- Night-Out Allowance: Receive £25.00 per night out (typically out 4 nights a week).
- Clean Card Bonus: An extra £25.00 per week bonus just for keeping a clean tachograph card.
- Secure Parking: Free, secure on-site parking at the depot for your own vehicle.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- National Trunking: Safely operating HGV Class 1 lorries (primarily curtainside and some flatbed trailers) across major UK routes.
- Securing the Load: Making sure everything is safely loaded, strapped, and secure before you set off.
- Rig Compliance: Conducting sharp pre-journey inspections to ensure your vehicle is 100% roadworthy and safe.
- Smart Planning: Navigating efficiently to hit delivery schedules and maximise fuel economy.
- By the Book: Strictly adhering to legal driving hours and tachograph regulations.
What We’re Looking For:
- The Right Licence: A valid HGV Class 1 licence with solid commercial driving experience.
