The Role: The "Heavy Duty" Hero You’ll oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of every mechanical asset we own—from Forklifts and VNA units to automated systems. You’ll ensure 100% availability to help us keep delivering dream bathrooms on time, every time. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you’ll bridge busy operations and engineering excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Fleet: Oversee procurement, leasing, and decommissioning of equipment.
- Maintenance: Schedule PPMs and ensure LOLAER/PUWER compliance is clear and up to date.
- The Contractor Catalyst: Be the main point of contact for external providers and ensure their KPIs are aligned with our standards.
- Safety First: Lead the charge on HSE standards and investigate incidents to keep the team safe.
- Data Diver: Use telematics and fleet data to match gear to seasonal peaks and prevent blockages.
Qualifications & Experience:
- The Experience: Proven track record in MHE management or senior warehouse engineering on a high-volume site.
- The Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of LOLAER and PUWER (warehouse regulatory requirements).
- The Techy Side: Comfortable with fleet software and tracking battery cycles or operator performance.
- The Leadership: Ability to influence a culture of proper equipment care and safety standards.
- The Badges: NEBOSH or IOSH certification is ideal; engineering qualifications are a plus.
