Civil Construction Traineeship in Torquay

The Surf Coast Shire care for over 1500 square kilometers of some of the most spectacular coastline, scenic rainforests and magnificent beaches that Australia has to offer. The area attracts millions of visitors every year and has a growing population of over 39,000, keeping the Shire as a pristine area is a large undertaking.

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Surf Coast Shire in the Civil Construction team and undertake a Certificate III in Civil Construction. Civil construction is the maintenance of roads, unsealed and sealed, rural drainage, concrete works to kerbs and the operation of plant and machinery plus much more. This traineeship will have you working on Civil projects throughout the Surf Coast Shire.

The traineeship will be based in Torquay with work also in Winchelsea.

The successful applicant will possess the following qualities:

• Ability to work in a team environment
• Good communication skills
• An interest in Civil construction and maintenance
• Willingness to complete off the job training
• Car and license is preferred but not essential.
