International Investment Fund, Permanent, Hybrid – Mayfair
VWA, a highly entrepreneurial and reputable investment fund with a global reach and a strong presence, is looking to expand its London-based research team with an engaging Research Analyst role. Applicants must be fluent in English and Japanese (required). This position is not a fast-track to an Investment Professional role.
Responsibilities
- Receive a multitude of research tasks related to market areas, politics and geographical locations
- Juggle concurrent research projects, prioritise tasks and adhere to sometimes tight deadlines
- Communicate internally with stakeholders across different business areas
- Engage externally with consultants, experts and research providers, managing these relationships
- Perform other duties as required
Required Skills & Experience
- Fluent English and Japanese
- Degree-educated from a top university or equivalent qualifications
- Several years' experience in business consulting research, financial journalism or another financial services company with demonstrable skills
- Strong qualitative and quantitative data handling skills
- Curiosity and adaptability to take on a breadth of research tasks
- Relationship management, resilience and creativity
- Effective workload management during periods of intensity
- Keen interest and demonstrable understanding of financial markets
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
Additional Details
- Core hours: 9am - 6pm, with flexibility for tight deadlines that may fall outside core hours
- Hybrid working: Tuesdays and Wednesdays must be office-based in London
- Salary based on experience plus discretionary bonus and excellent company benefits
