We are seeking a reliable Class 2 Recovery Driver to handle the safe retrieval and transport of disabled or damaged vehicles. Whether you are an experienced recovery operator or a professional driver looking to start a new career, we want to hear from you. Full specialist recovery training will be provided for the right candidate. Working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern with either 10am-10pm and 12pm-12am shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vehicle Recovery: Safely and efficiently loading, securing, and transporting disabled or damaged vehicles using Class 2 flatbed recovery trucks.
  • Technical Assessment: Inspecting vehicles on-site for mechanical issues and, where possible, performing basic roadside assistance.
  • Professional Communication: Acting as a calm and professional point of contact for clients at the roadside and coordinating effectively with our dispatch team.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhering to all road safety regulations, securing loads to industry standards, and maintaining accurate tacho-graph records.

Requirements

  • Licensing: You must possess a valid driving license suitable for 7.5T and Class 2 vehicles.
  • Compliance: A valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card are essential.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: A basic understanding of vehicle mechanics is a significant advantage.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills and a 'customer-first' mindset, especially when dealing with motorists in stressful situations.
  • Physical Fitness: The role involves manual handling, including the operation of winches and securing heavy loads in all weather conditions.
