The predicted salary is between 24000 - 30000 £ per year.

To form an integral part of the front of house and administrative team, contributing to the daily office routine within General Practice. The role shall include various administrative tasks, reception duties and dealing with telephone enquiries.

Main duties of the job

  • Undertake reception duties for both the Victoria Medical Centre and The Beacon Practice
  • Handling and processing of prescriptions
  • Book appointments by telephone and face to face
  • Undertake Administrative duties - completing of tasks both in EMIS Web and DOCMAN
  • Registering of new patients
  • Sending FP10s to Appliance companies e.g. Nutricia, Bullens
  • Act as the first point of contact for patients raising concerns or informal complaints
  • Support patients by directing them to the most appropriate service or clinician
  • Carry out daily opening and closing duties to ensure the smooth and secure operation of the practice.
  • Filing documents such as ECGs and non-urgent scanning
  • Assist with the cold chain policies of the practice by conducting the daily vaccine temperature checks
  • Assist with the monitoring of the resus/crash trolleys by conducting daily checks and logging them accurately within the allocated documents.
