Activities Lead
We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and organised Activities Lead to join our friendly team. This is a rewarding role where you will make a real difference to the lives of our residents by planning and delivering meaningful, engaging and person-centred activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a varied activities programme tailored to residents’ interests, hobbies and abilities
- Organise group activities, entertainment, outings and one-to-one sessions
- Produce a monthly newsletter and activities calendar showcasing recent activities and upcoming events
- Encourage resident participation and promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction
- Build positive relationships with residents, relatives, staff and the local community
- Maintain accurate records and activity documentation
- Support themed events, celebrations and fundraising activities throughout the year
- Manage activity resources and maintain organised activity spaces
- Working a rolling week 1/week 2 rota and alternate weekends. Hours 9.30-2.30 with 1 day a week 9.30-4 (Admin day)
Skills & Experience
- Good computer skills, including creating newsletters, calendars and activity materials
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Creative, enthusiastic and motivated approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient nature
- Previous experience in activities, care or customer-focused roles is desirable
