About Victoria College of Arts and Design (VCAD): VCAD is a dynamic and innovative higher education institution, with campuses at London Canary Wharf, London Borough and Manchester City Centre.
Role Overview: We are looking for a self-starting, highly organised and confident communicator to become our Outreach and Event Coordinator. The post holder will take a key role in managing and delivering our Welcome and Open Day events, student engagement activities and community outreach work. The role is based at London but will require travel to other campuses as needed to provide training, oversee events, and ensure consistent high-quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Event Planning & Student Engagement: Develop and manage a dynamic events calendar to enhance student engagement across all campuses. Plan and coordinate student inductions, social events, cultural celebrations, and career-focused activities. Ensure a consistent and high-quality approach to event delivery across all VCAD sites. Work closely with Student Support, Student Success, and Student Wellbeing teams to design events that meet student needs. Continuously introduce new ideas and initiatives to increase student participation and overall engagement.
- Outreach & Community Engagement: Develop and deliver outreach activities to build awareness of VCAD and strengthen relationships with local communities. Organise and attend open days, recruitment fairs, school visits, and industry events. Build and maintain strong partnerships with schools, community groups, businesses, and other external stakeholders. Represent VCAD externally, acting as a key point of contact and ambassador for the organisation.
- Marketing & Direct Student Recruitment: Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive direct student applications and meet recruitment targets. Plan, manage, and optimise paid advertising campaigns across platforms such as Google, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), and other relevant channels. Oversee the direct application pipeline, ensuring a smooth and effective journey from enquiry to enrolment. Use digital marketing, social media, and content campaigns to generate leads and increase brand visibility. Monitor campaign performance and use data insights to continuously improve conversion rates and return on investment. Collaborate with internal teams to align marketing activity with events, outreach, and recruitment objectives.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in event management and delivery.
- Experience in digital marketing, including running and optimising paid advertising campaigns.
- Strong understanding of lead generation and direct recruitment strategies.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Confident networker with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Ability to work across multiple campuses in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident representing VCAD at events and acting as a brand ambassador.
