Victoria Beckham Ltd offers a selection of work placement opportunities for those currently studying at university and looking to gain experience in the Fashion Industry. The placements we offer provide a varied and tangible learning experience that can be applied to roles in the future and support the university learning experience.
We are looking for motivated and dedicated students with a real enthusiasm to work within the Technical Department.
Role Overview:Work placement opportunity within the VB Technical department, with exposure on industrialisation and production lifecycle, by providing assistance to the technical team. During this period, the candidate will gain understanding on the full industrialization and production phases on luxury woven and knit product.
Responsibilities:- Assemble all pre-production sample packs ahead of launch deadlines - complete of fabric, labels and trims
- Responsible for shipping all sample packs and samples to UK and overseas suppliers
- Opportunity to assist pattern cutters with measuring of samples
- Assisting with seasonal production and pre-production fittings by preparing fit samples, unpacking and steaming, model dressing, note and picture taking
- Measuring the collection samples, pre-production and size set QC
- Assisting the garment techs with the QC process to understand our quality standards
- Assist garment techs with onsite factory quality control on finished goods for UK suppliers
- Sample management for Press and inter-department sample requests
- Setting up and updating the collection and PPS sample trackers
- Assist with general upkeep of technical team area
- Assist with seasonal sample, fabric archiving, and stock management
- Opportunity to work with the production team, to understand the full industrialization process
- Working towards a BA degree qualification in Fashion Technology or other equivalent
- Basic technical knowledge of fabric, patterns, fit, garment construction and manufacturing techniques
- Flexible, resourceful and accustomed to working to tight deadlines
- Quick, eager to learn and adapt to the brands product standard
