Placement: 12-month placement, with the anticipated start date of September 2026
The candidate will assist the Product Development team across all product categories, including Trims, from initial developments and prototypes through to final sign off of the collection.
Job Description:
- Working between Product and Trim Development, this role primarily supports the Head of Collection and the Senior Product Development Manager along with all members of the PD Team.
- PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT:
- To work with the RTW Atelier in the organisation or building Raw Material dockets to send to factories, as well as collating the relevant patterns.
- Organise shipments and couriers to and from factories.
- Ability to anticipate technical problems, have a good knowledge of the impacts for production and anticipate issues, and implement corrective actions plan to find a solution.
- Assisting in collating the Technical Sheets (From the Garment Tech Team) to be input into the PLM system.
- Launching Dry Clean tests, based on feedback from Quality Meetings.
- Assist the Product Developers in all the development across various categories Leather, Denim, Woven + any relevant processes (pleating, washing etc).
- Assist the Development team in colouring up the sketches for the product overviews.
- Assist with packing the collection with the different team members whenever the collection needs to be shipped (showroom/show venue/photoshoots).
- Assist in measuring prototypes and SMS.
- Assisting with raising PO’s for sampling and yarns.
- TRIM DEVELOPMENT:
- To set up ‘Internals’ Sheets to colour match trims to self fabrics, ahead of Finishes Meetings, including swatching the sheets where necessary.
- Helping to ensure that the Atelier is sufficiently stocked with internals and trims, keeping the Trim Developer up to date.
- Organise shipments and couriers to and from mills / suppliers.
- GENERAL:
- A dedicated and motivated person, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Real enthusiasm and interest for a product with High Standard finishes.
- Strive to enhance and continuously improve development process.
- Good communicator and coordinator with the different teams.
- Be at ease with Computer Systems / Excel.
- Be a good team player and have the ability to work in a team.
- Be sociable and proactive.
- Ready to hit the ground with “manual” and admin tasks (cut fabrics/DHL Prep, Collection Shipment…)
- Confident in using Photoshop / Adobe Illustrator will be a must.
