Ownership of the monthly management accounts reporting and balance sheet presentations in a timely manner. Playing a key role in driving financial insight and delivering accurate reporting analysis.
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts at company level.
- Tasks include intercompany and other balance sheet account reconciliations, payroll, depreciation, accruals, prepayments and other journal adjustments.
- Working closely with finance teams on VAT returns and international tax compliance.
- Ad hoc analysis, provision of information and support to the wider finance team.
- Reviewing month end bank postings and reconciliations completed by AP & AR teams.
- Assisting with yearly audits and ensuring statutory compliance.
- Assist in providing management with accurate and timely information on sales and stock levels.
- Manage intercompany reconciliations, invoicing and accounting.
- Ensure transactions are correctly recorded in accordance with accounting standards and treatments.
Systems/Processes:
- Assist with the development of systems and processes to ensure that the PO, invoice, payment processes are adequately addressed.
- Supporting the transition to a new ERP system, ensuring smooth integration.
- Implement and improve financial controls, processes and reporting.
Essential Skills and Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with experience in similar management accounting role.
- Proficient Excel skills, comfortable with IT systems.
- Organised, efficient, self-sufficient person with good interpersonal skills and can-do attitude.
- Demonstrate an interest in improving and developing systems and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Able to prioritise, meet deadlines and targets.
- Good team player.
