Victoria Beckham Limited is a dynamic and innovative fashion brand specialising in high-quality knitwear. We combine traditional techniques with contemporary design, creating timeless pieces that embody both style and sustainability. We are looking for a passionate and creative individual to join our team as a Knitwear Intern. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fashion industry and work closely with experienced designers.
Location: Hammersmith, London
Placement: 6 or 12-month placement, with an anticipated start date of August/September 2025
Responsibilities:
- Making up style boards and development presentations
- Archiving physical swatches and prototypes into their relevant folders and boxes
- Supporting the developer to update all trackers for yarn, approved swatches and prototypes
- Keeping the knitwear area organized and tidy with clear labelling, and clearing at end of each day
- Supporting the Design team on research
- Organizing development rails on a weekly basis
- Supporting on the set-up of the room for fittings and development meetings with all relevant components
- Supporting on data input on PLM and Zedonk
- Tracking press samples
- Supporting in measuring prototypes throughout development and for pre-production handover
- Responsible for taking notes during fittings and pre-production handover
- Recalling and prepping vintage pieces from archive
- Photograph & dismantle all past season boards
- Keeping equipment and stationery stocked
- Drawing and updating CADS
- Arranging shipments and keeping the tracker up to date
- Organizing seasonal lab dips with mills
- Creating and updating FTS fabric headers throughout season
- Supporting with the update of the collection plan
- Tracking yarn orders, purchase orders and shipments
Skills:
- Knitwear/Textile Course and Knowledge of knitwear construction and yarns
- Hand and machine knit knowledge and crochet preferred
- Proficient sewing skills
- Proficient Pattern Cutting Skills
- Proficient Photoshop Skills
- Experience with mock-ups
- Confident with CADS
- Confident with Excel
- Excellent organizational skills with good attention to detail
- Must have a can-do attitude
- Team player
Requirements:
- Must be in full time education
- Strong interest and passion for knitwear and fashion design
- Basic knowledge of knitting techniques, both hand and machine knitting
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD programs
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for colour, texture, and pattern
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Creative, proactive, and eager to learn
