We are looking for 2 x People Advisor to join our People and Change team (1 x FT 1 x PT). Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll deliver expert guidance on employee relations, coach stakeholders at all levels, and support impactful change. You’ll bring strong ER and change management experience. CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent), and confidence managing casework. As the main People & Change team contact for your client groups' employees and junior to mid-managers, build relationships and independently provide proactive and efficient advice on the full range of generalist people operational issues, including but not limited to:
- recruitment
- onboarding and right to work
- flexible working
- family leave
- sickness absence
- performance management
Act as the bridge between departments and the expert People functions such as Talent & Skills (L&D) and Reward. Hold People Team drop-in surgeries on a regular basis at your sites to ensure an outward-facing, approachable customer service.
What we are looking for:
- Solid experience in a generalist People Advisory role
- Level 5 CIPD Qualification or equivalent experience
- Proven experience handling Employee Relations casework, supported by a solid understanding of employment law and employee relations best practice
- Strong administrative skills and experience with the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HR systems
- Strong people skills with the ability to build solid relationships and confident in communicating with stakeholders at all levels
- A proactive self-starter who can quickly take ownership, adapt fast and make an immediate impact
- Strong written and numerical skills
- Experience managing and prioritising a high workload independently – ensuring deadlines are met and a high level of organisation
- Experience with change programmes and its practical application
- Experience of delivering a customer-focused People service to managers and employees

- Ideally but not mandatory, experience in a unionised environment (we recognise 3 x Trade Unions)
