The Product Test Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of the Technology products by designing, executing, and maintaining test strategies within the Product team continuous improvement process. This role works closely with product managers, delivery manager, 3rd party suppliers and other stakeholders to validate requirements, identify defects, and support continuous improvement through efficient, modular and feature driven testing practices.
What will you be doing?
- Collaborate with the Product Managers, Delivery Manager and 3rd party suppliers to understand business requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Review user stories and provide feedback to ensure testability and clarity.
- Design, develop, maintain and execute both manual and automated test cases across all parts of the testing lifecycle, from exploratory testing to regression testing.
- Participate in Product team processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure testing of the products reflects the needs of the internal stakeholders.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using tools such as Microsoft Azure Devops, Jira.
- Build test execution reporting capabilities to track and communicate test case pass/failure rates throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Ensure quality standards are met before product releases.
- Promote quality best practices across the Product team.
What are we looking for?
- Quality Assurance and Testing: Minimum 3 years experience in a Quality Assurance/Software testing environment, specifically in an eCommerce environment.
- API Testing: Basic understanding of API concepts (RESTful, JSON) as well as testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
- Test Cases and Scenarios: Demonstrable experience writing clear test cases and test scenarios.
- Continuous Improvement: In depth experience of Agile Methodologies (Scrum, Sprints, Retros etc) and rapid feature driven modular testing practices.
- Software Development Lifecycles: Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and how they fit into overall software development frameworks such as SDLC/STLC.
- Collaborative Working: Significant skills in team collaboration and coaching, and adept at managing team dynamics to forge an environment where a team is empowered to deliver.
- Clear Communication and Transparency: Maintains clear and open communication with all team members and stakeholders, keeping them informed of progress and challenges.
