We currently have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Stores & Logistics Operative within our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Working as part of the Stores and Logistics team to support the efficient flow of materials, goods, and components across the manufacturing site.
  • Receiving and storing parts, supporting assembly with materials, preparing and scanning trays, and handling the despatch and loading of finished goods.
  • Ensuring accuracy of stock, maintaining safe working practices, and upholding strong communication across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive parts from machine shop and external sites.
  • Verify deliveries and ensure paperwork matches physical goods.
  • Scan and locate trays/parts into the correct storage areas in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain correct inventory levels and escalate discrepancies.
  • Consolidate stock to optimise space utilisation.
  • Maintain organisation and housekeeping standards in all storage areas.
  • Restock assembly cells with purchased parts and materials as required.
  • Remove trays and materials not required from assembly when needed.
  • Kit assembly lines following Team Leader plans.
  • Support assembly by replenishing materials and ensuring uninterrupted production flow.
  • Empty rubbish bins in Assembly, Stores, and Mezzanine areas to maintain cleanliness.
  • Fill empty 4-level trays ready for next-day despatch.
  • Scan and wrap 4-level trays for transport to Shaw Road or other locations.
  • Print labels, activate works orders, and manage logistic area tray movements.
  • Reduce counts by scanning trays accurately and promptly.
  • Load vehicles using forklifts safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure outgoing shipments match despatch documentation and bookings.
  • Book deliveries and verify accuracy of paperwork for goods despatched.

  • Experience in a warehouse or stores environment preferred.
  • Excellent work ethics.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Physical ability to lift and move materials in compliance with Manual Handling.
  • Basic computer and scanner skills.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
