We are seeking a talented individual to join our Financial Lines / Professional Indemnity Underwriting team at Victor Insurance UK.
Victor UK is seeking candidates for the following position. Access to London, Cambridge, Bristol, Leeds or Witham would be beneficial for office attendance.
Victor and its businesses operate as managing general agency (MGA), offering a wide range of property, liability, motor and specialty insurance products in countries around the world. The Senior Financial Lines Underwriter will join a busy team of experienced professionals based in the UK.
We will count on you to:
- Directly contribute to and implement the underwriting strategy for all products, working within our established risk appetite
- Develop a successful career as part of a tight-knit, busy, knowledgeable and established team within a growing MGA
- Act within underwriting authority and be a technical referral point where appropriate
- Build strong relationships with broking & capacity partners and internal stakeholders
- Attend networking and insurance events as well as broker visits
- Provide superior customer service, delivering the required product profitability, providing feedback to internal stakeholders regarding trading/market trends and improving technical underwriting capabilities.
- Opportunity to deputise for the Product Head when appropriate and necessary
What you need to have:
- Proven track record of professional indemnity insurance underwriting
- A thorough understanding of the financial lines insurance market
- Previously held high levels of underwriting authority for professional indemnity insurance
- Experience of working in teams and successfully delivering results

- Professional qualifications – Cert, Dip or ACII
- Experience of working within an MGA model
- Established trading relationships with UK independent brokers
