Victor Chase Legal Recruitment is excited to be working with a leading law firm to recruit an Employment Associate or Senior Associate (4-8 PQE) to join their highly respected, Tier 2 ranked Employment team in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of one of the North’s most reputable employment practices during a period of strategic growth.

You will work with a prestigious client base ranging from SMEs to PLCs across sectors including retail, sport, manufacturing, financial services, industrial services, and healthcare. The role offers exposure to high-value, complex matters and excellent prospects for career development.

You will enjoy a broad and varied caseload across all aspects of employment law, including:

  • Employment tribunal litigation
  • Day-to-day HR advisory work, becoming an integral part of the client’s HR delivery team
  • HR project work involving restructures, redundancies, and TUPE
  • Corporate transactional support
  • Advising on executive severances and settlement agreements
  • Supervising junior team members and supporting the Partners
  • Actively contributing to business development and marketing initiatives

The team’s focus is primarily on private sector respondent clients, though you will also have the opportunity to act for senior executives on high-value employment disputes.

The employment team is known for delivering pragmatic, commercially focused advice and regularly works as an extension of clients’ HR teams. The practice is renowned for its:

  • Expertise in the full employment lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to training, exit, and severance
  • Support across complex HR issues including pay and benefits, policies and procedures, workforce development, and transformation projects
  • Strong track record of providing value-driven HR solutions with a risk-managed, client-centric approach

We are looking for a 4-8 PQE Employment Solicitor who has:

  • Solid employment law experience from a leading national or regional practice
  • Experience providing corporate support on transactions (desirable)

  • A proven track record of developing client relationships and a genuine interest in business development
