We have an exciting opportunity for a Caseworker to join the West Midlands team, working 37.5 hours a week, based in our West Bromwich office. Victim Support offers a hybrid working policy, allowing some days from home if preferred.

About the role:

This role is based at our West Bromwich office with the option of hybrid working from home. Travel across the area is required, with travel time within working hours & expenses reimbursed. The hours are Monday to Thursday 8am to 4pm and Friday 12pm to 8pm.

As a Caseworker you will:

  • Manage a caseload, delivering services via telephone, video call, and in person to support service users
  • Assess need and risk at initial contact and ongoing basis
  • Develop, deliver, and monitor safety and support plans for those affected by crime who accept ongoing support, including providing resources, interventions, and information
  • Help service users build healthy coping mechanisms and provide practical support
  • Identify and act on safeguarding concerns
  • Collaborate with key partners
  • Use a case management system to maintain accurate records and contribute to monitoring outcomes
  • Deliver awareness sessions on the impact of crime and participate in community events

You will need:

  • An understanding of the impact of crime
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Experience in delivering services within statutory, voluntary, or multi-agency settings
  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing needs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
