Support Coordinator – 20 hours per week, Fixed‑Term (Maternity cover)

This role is based at Lanark Sheriff Court, with additional duties covering Hamilton Sheriff Court.

The Support Coordinator reports directly to a Locality Manager and will be responsible for planning volunteer deployment, ensuring service delivery meets the desired outcomes for victims and witnesses, and for all aspects of volunteer engagement including recruitment, induction, learning and development, performance management and support.

Key responsibilities include

  • Implementing the local service development and delivery plan within the designated geographical area(s).
  • Planning and coordinating volunteer deployment to meet service targets.
  • Handling recruitment, induction, learning and development, and ongoing support for volunteers.
  • Conducting performance management and providing ongoing support to volunteers.
  • Contributing to business planning and coordination to ensure continuous learning and monitoring of outcomes for service users.
  • Gathering, analysing and presenting data insights to support decision‑making.

Essential skills and experience

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the voluntary or charity sector.
  • Excellent leadership and team‑motivation skills.
  • Strong communication and facilitation abilities.
  • Data gathering, analysis and presentation skills.
  • Commitment to fairness, inclusion, and challenging discrimination or bias.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as required.
  • Experience with a PVG check is preferred.

This position requires a satisfactory PVG check.

  • Working Hours
  • Monday – Friday: 8 am to 8 pm
  • Saturdays: 10 am to 4 pm
  • Salary

£27,598 – £36,445 (pro‑rata) – starting at the lower salary point. Progression may be considered based on experience and performance.
