This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Support Coordinator (Armed Forces) on a fixed-term contract basis for 2 years, 30 hours per week. You will provide specialist support to individuals from Armed Forces communities who have been affected by domestic abuse. Working in partnership with Scottish Women’s Aid, you will deliver tailored one-to-one support, helping individuals feel safe, listened to, informed, and empowered to make choices about their future.

Reporting to the Locality Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality services across your locality, ensuring support is accessible, effective, and responsive to the needs of victims and witnesses. You will contribute to the successful implementation of service plans and help ensure individuals receive the guidance and support they need at the right time.

A key aspect of the role will be coordinating and supporting a team of dedicated volunteers who provide services to Armed Forces communities affected by domestic abuse. You will lead on volunteer recruitment, induction, training, development, and ongoing supervision, ensuring volunteers are equipped to deliver compassionate, person-centred support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinating and supporting the delivery of Armed Forces support services across the locality.
• Recruiting, developing and supporting volunteers to deliver high-quality services.
• Planning volunteer deployment to meet service demand and achieve positive outcomes for service users.
• Monitoring delivery and contributing to continuous improvement and business planning activities.
• Gathering, analysing and presenting information to help evaluate service effectiveness.
• Developing strong relationships with partners, stakeholders and local communities.
• Providing specialist support to members of Armed Forces communities affected by domestic abuse.
• Promoting equality, diversity and inclusion and challenging discrimination, bias and stereotyping where encountered.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about supporting others and who brings experience from a similar role within the voluntary, community or charity sector. You will bring:

• Experience of coordinating services, projects, volunteers or teams.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and support others.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience of collecting, analysing and using data to inform decision-making.
• A commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
• An understanding of the voluntary and charity sector.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Flexibility to work across the agreed service hours and travel as required.
