What is the role?
We are looking for a Bid Writer, working 35 hours per week Monday – Friday.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Income Generations & Partnerships, you will take a lead role in researching and reviewing funding and bidding opportunities, identifying key requirements and communicating these effectively with internal and external stakeholders. You will gather information required to produce compelling, high‐quality bids from stakeholders, through your own research. You will work collaboratively with key members of the Service Delivery teams to ensure bids and proposals can be operationalised and are positioned in line with agreed priorities. You will drive continuous improvement through analysis of feedback, taking account of market/sector knowledge and suggesting changes and improvements.

Edinburgh or Glasgow (Hybrid working available)

Salary
£31,890 – £42,109 per annum. Salary on appointment will normally be at the lower salary point, with progression subject to regular review. A higher salary placing will be considered in exceptional circumstances subject to demonstrated experience.

What you'll need to be successful
We are looking for a dynamic, driven, and motivated individual with a degree or equivalent professional qualification that demonstrates excellent analytical and writing skills. You must plan and organise workloads with shifting deadlines to meet specific targets and ensure quality output. You should have a good understanding of trusts, statutory and lottery fundraising in the voluntary sector, experience collating information for reports, and an outcome‐based approach to measuring and monitoring performance. Excellent communication skills and confidence to develop effective internal and external relationships that deliver organisational goals are essential. Flexibility on working hours and travel as required are expected.
