We have an exciting opportunity to join our Homesearch Team, where you will be responsible for the delivery of our voids and allocations services.
As a Senior Homesearch Officer, you will take a key role assisting in the management of our allocations, voids and new tenancy service.
Ensuring the delivery of an efficient and comprehensive customer focused service for all users.
What you’ll do
As the Senior Homesearch Officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management and development of the service. Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensure effective management and allocation of empty properties throughout our operating areas.
- Manage adverts for homes
- Maintain relationships with internal and external partners, including local authorities throughout Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
- Implement policy changes and handle complaints
- Establish partnerships with external agencies
- Contribute to strategy development and team plans
- Ensure tenancy allocations adhere to policies and legislation
- Assist in minimising void rent loss and enhancing customer satisfaction
- Promote health and safety, and a safe working environment
- What we’re looking for
To join our Homesearch team, we’re looking for someone with
- a qualification at Level 4 of the Regulated Qualifications Framework or working towards;
- evidence of setting and achieving performance targets;
- effective leadership skills;
- evidence of successful partnership working with communities and internal and external stakeholders;
- an understanding of and the ability to apply the appropriate legislation policies and procedures specifically relating to tenancy and debt management; and
- evidence of a customer focused approach to service users whilst developing the strengths of individuals.
This post also requires applicants to hold a current, valid UK driving licence with the ability to travel throughout Yorkshire and our wider operating area and you may be required to work out of normal hours such as evenings and weekends to meet the needs of the customers and the business.
