Vico Homes is built on the foundations of WDH. We are looking for a Technical Surveyor to join our Development Team. A home is more than four walls and a roof. It should be a safe place, a place to start things, a place of opportunities, a place to grow, and a place where you feel you belong. These are the places we provide for today and for the future. This is what marks us out as one of the leading players in the social housing sector. We have over 32,000 homes across the north of England, home to tens of thousands of people. And people are at the centre of what we do. Our people are approachable and professional, but we're not afraid to be optimistic and show our passion for what we do to support our customers. We share a common vision, acting confidently to ensure we remain at the forefront of making it happen. Together, we're building better futures and vibrant communities.

About the role: As the Technical Surveyor, your manager will be our Senior Technical Surveyor. You will work 37 hours a week on a permanent basis, working flexibly in the Vico Homes operating area based at our Head Office in Castleford. As the Technical Surveyor, you will participate as part of a team in the provision of a comprehensive, effective and efficient Technical Survey Service.

What you'll do: Day to day your work will include co-ordinating and managing a personal caseload of technical survey work, assisting Legal Services in the completion of conveyances, plot checks, agreements and right of way applications by the provision of plans and maps to the requisite scale, and carrying out inspections, producing the relevant drawings/plans, completing statutory applications.

What we're looking for: You'll have a City & Guilds Level 3 Award in 2D CAD or equivalent, alongside a qualification at Level 3 of the Qualifications and Credit Framework, such as A Levels, a Certificate, Diploma or equivalent. You'll also hold a full valid UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle as regular travel across the Vico Homes operating area and other locations will be required. You'll have experience in survey work and be confident carrying out measured surveys, inspections and technical drawings, supporting land and property projects, assisting the Senior Technical Surveyor and preparing plans and statutory applications that help deliver Vico Homes' accommodation strategy. You are highly organised with a proactive approach, with the ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload, communicate effectively with stakeholders, use a range of IT systems and software packages as well as solve problems using your own initiative.
