Our Business Intelligence and Data team sits at the centre of that mission.
You’ll lead a talented team of around ten specialists across business intelligence, data governance, data quality, compliance and GIS. You’ll play a pivotal role in evolving how the organisation uses data to make confident decisions, improve services and deliver great outcomes for our customers and communities.
What you’ll do:
- Define the vision and roadmap for enterprise‑wide business intelligence and data, aligned to Vico’s growing ambitions.
- Lead our data governance and compliance agenda, establishing clear standards, roles and controls that improve integrity and reduce risk.
- Drive measurable improvements in data quality, from root‑cause analysis through to remediation and ongoing monitoring.
- Design and embed a corporate performance framework, creating clarity on KPIs, ownership, targets and reporting rhythms.
- Deliver a refreshed KPI catalogue and expand self‑serve insight, empowering colleagues across the organisation through clean, consistent Power BI reporting.
- Modernise our analytics platforms, retiring legacy reporting and strengthening our Azure‑based environment.
- Provide high‑quality insight and narrative for senior leaders and committees, turning complex data into clear recommendations.
- Lead and develop a high‑performing team, building capability, confidence and strong internal partnerships.
- Support assurance activity, including audit, regulatory submissions and inspections, with robust traceability and controls.
What we’re looking for:
- Senior leadership experience in BI/data, with a track record of setting strategy and building effective operating models.
- Proven delivery of enterprise‑level data governance and meaningful improvements in data quality.
- Experience designing and embedding a performance framework with KPIs that drive action and accountability.
- Confidence operating at Executive level, influencing decisions and landing new ways of working.
- Strong experience leading change at pace, particularly when modernising reporting and retiring legacy tools.
- Deep knowledge of modern BI and analytics, such as Power BI and Azure, with the right balance of accessibility and governance.
- Exceptional storytelling skills—able to turn complex data into clear, compelling insight.
- Inclusive, values‑driven leadership with a focus on developing others.
- Commercial, pragmatic judgement, including managing budgets, suppliers and investment plans.
