Training Coordinator- Industrial- Light Manufacturing Location: Louth/Newry Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Hours: Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-3pm The Opportunity An established and growing engineering business is seeking an experienced Training Coordinator to support the continued development of its manufacturing and operational workforce. This is a hands-on role within an industrial/light manufacturing environment, responsible for delivering practical technical and compliance training, assessing employee competency and maintaining consistently high standards across manufacturing operations. The Role Working closely with Production, Engineering, Quality and HSE teams, you will: Deliver practical technical training across manufacturing and assembly operations. Train and assess employees in the safe and correct use of tools, equipment, machinery and manufacturing processes. Deliver structured training against SOPs, Work Instructions and safe systems of work. Deliver relevant operational, safety and compliance training. Manage technical onboarding and competency development for new employees. Develop and maintain competency assessments, skills matrices and training plans. Identify skills gaps and implement appropriate training interventions. Develop and improve training materials, SOPs, technical guides and visual work instructions. Work with operational teams to improve quality, consistency, productivity and safety through effective training. Maintain accurate training, competency and certification records. What We're Looking For This role requires an experienced and appropriately qualified trainer with a strong background in an industrial, engineering or manufacturing environment. Essential requirements include: Recognised training/instructor qualification or accreditation. Proven experience delivering technical, operational or compliance training within manufacturing, engineering or a similar industrial environment. Experience delivering practical, hands-on training to operational employees. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment and safe systems of work. Experience assessing employee competency and identifying training requirements. Experience developing training materials, SOPs or Work Instructions. Strong communication skills with the credibility to engage effectively with employees at all levels. Full driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites when required. Experience delivering training in areas such as Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, Working at Height, MEWPs, Forklift Operations or other relevant industrial training disciplines would be highly advantageous.
