Are you an experienced Technical or Quality professional looking for the next step in your career within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment? Vickerstock are delighted to be working in partnership with a leading food manufacturer in the Ballymena Area who are seeking to appoint a Technical Supervisor to join their team. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of key technical systems, supplier management processes, audit preparation and traceability activities within a business committed to quality, compliance and continuous improvement.

What your day to day will look like:
- Managing supplier approval and ongoing supplier performance reviews.
- Maintaining raw material and packaging specifications to ensure legislative and customer compliance.
- Supporting risk assessments relating to raw materials, allergens and product vulnerability.
- Coordinating maintenance documentation and ensuring records remain accurate and audit ready.
- Conducting internal maintenance audits and supporting preventative maintenance programmes.
- Assisting with preparation for BRCGS and customer audits.
- Supporting customer complaint investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Managing site traceability exercises and supporting mock recalls.
- Ensuring technical documentation remains controlled, accurate and compliant always.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
What You'll Need
- Previous experience within a Technical or Quality role in food manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of supplier approval systems and specification management.
- Working knowledge of BRCGS Food Safety Standards and audit processes.
- Experience supporting traceability systems and compliance activities.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work across multiple departments.
Desirable Criteria
- Degree qualification in Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline.
- HACCP Level 2 minimum (Level 3 preferred).
- Food Safety and Quality Management training.
