Vickerstock are working in partnership with a major manufacturing business to recruit a Sourcing Specialist to join their growing procurement team in Dungannon. This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional who enjoys building supplier relationships, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring the continuity of supply across a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting sourcing strategies, supplier performance, and overall supply chain efficiency. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, the sourcing specialist will help drive value, improve supplier performance, and contribute to the continued success of a globally recognised manufacturer.
Sourcing Specialist Duties
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers in line with business requirements.
- Support the development and implementation of sourcing strategies across a range of commodities and services.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial agreements to deliver best value.
- Monitor supplier performance, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.
- Work closely with engineering, production, quality, and procurement teams to support operational requirements.
- Conduct supplier reviews and assist with supplier development initiatives.
- Analyse market trends, supply risks, and cost drivers to support informed purchasing decisions.
- Assist with contract management and supplier compliance activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the supply chain.
- Maintain accurate sourcing and supplier records within ERP and procurement systems.
About You
- Previous experience within sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or supply chain functions.
- Strong supplier management and negotiation skills.
- Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment would be advantageous.
- Ability to analyse data and make commercially sound decisions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
