Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading construction, facilities management, and engineering services provider on the appointment of a SHEQ Officer. Reporting to the SHEQ Manager, you will work closely with operational teams and business leaders to ensure Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards are effectively implemented and maintained across the organisation. This is a varied role offering exposure to site operations, compliance management, sustainability initiatives, training delivery, auditing, and continuous improvement programmes. This opportunity may be of particular interest to those living in the Ballymena, Ballymoney, Limavady, Dungiven, Magherafelt, Cookstown, Dungannon or Antrim areas.

In your new role:

  • Provide professional SHEQ advice and guidance to operational teams, managers, and stakeholders across the business
  • Promote and embed a positive Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality culture throughout the organisation
  • Support the development and implementation of SHEQ policies, procedures, and management systems
  • Monitor compliance across sites and identify opportunities for improvement through audits, inspections, and performance reviews
  • Assist in maintaining ISO management systems and support the ongoing development of integrated management processes
  • Coordinate accident, incident, and near-miss investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
  • Support environmental initiatives, sustainability programmes, waste management systems, and environmental compliance activities
  • Deliver training, toolbox talks, coaching sessions, and awareness programmes to employees and managers
  • Carry out internal audits and site inspections, ensuring standards are maintained and corrective actions are closed out effectively
  • Support risk management processes, ensuring hazards and environmental impacts are identified and appropriately controlled
  • Work closely with HR and management teams to support employee wellbeing initiatives
  • Represent the business during client visits, audits, and interactions with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies
