Vickerstock are currently working in conjunction with a leading engineering and energy solutions provider based in Co. Fermanagh to assist them with the recruitment of a Field Service Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and growing business operating within the renewable energy and industrial services sector. The company continues to invest heavily in sustainable technologies and innovative engineering solutions, supplying customers across the UK and Ireland.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will work as part of a skilled engineering team providing maintenance and technical support with travel required to clients across Scotland. The role will involve travelling to customer sites and staying away overnight as required.

As a Service Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repair work across customer sites.
  • Diagnosing faults and ensuring equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
  • Providing technical support and engineering solutions to clients.
  • Completing planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown work.
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations.

Previous experience within a field service, maintenance or service engineering role is essential. You should possess strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills, and have experience working within industrial, manufacturing, mechanical or electrical environments. The ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively is crucial, along with a full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel and stay away overnight when required. Strong communication and customer-facing skills are also important.
