Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading engineering and manufacturing company to recruit an Assembly Technician. This is an excellent opportunity to join an innovative business designing and manufacturing specialist equipment for a global customer base. Working within a skilled production team, you'll play a key role in the assembly, testing and inspection of high-quality machinery while supporting the development of bespoke customer solutions.
Your new role:
- Mechanical assembly of machinery and standard product range
- Assembly and wiring of electrical panels and pneumatic systems
- Machine testing, final inspection and PAT testing
- Support the build and testing of customised equipment alongside Design Engineers
- Prepare machine kits and components for production
- Occasional travel to customer sites for servicing and repairs
What you will need to succeed:
- HNC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience in a mechanical and electrical assembly environment
- Ability to interpret electrical, pneumatic and mechanical drawings
- Familiarity with PLCs, control systems and general IT systems
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
