Purchasing Manager (FMCG)

Vickerstock is working in partnership with a major distribution business to appoint a Purchasing Manager on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a new position driven by ongoing growth and increased sales. The role will require regular travel to England. As the Purchasing Manager , you will focus on procurement and supplier management, emphasizing effective negotiation, building supplier relationships, and implementing cost-saving measures while maintaining customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include: Developing and executing purchasing strategies effectively Crafting negotiation strategies and closing deals Forecasting key prices and market trends to identify shifts in buyer-supplier power Performing cost analysis, scenario analysis, and benchmarking Sourcing and partnering with reliable vendors and suppliers Monitoring and forecasting demand levels Requirements for success: At least four years of purchasing experience in the FMCG/Food industry Willingness and ability to travel to England Strategic procurement experience is a plus Confident and effective communicator A BA Hons Degree is advantageous but not mandatory For a confidential discussion on how Vickerstock can support your next career move, contact Michael Irwin today! #J-18808-Ljbffr
