Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead engineering and product development projects from concept through to production
  • Manage engineering activities across multiple concurrent projects
  • Support product improvement and engineering enhancement initiatives
  • Create and review engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Coordinate engineering changes in line with company procedures
  • Provide technical support across engineering, production, and manufacturing teams
  • Work closely with supply chain and operational teams to support project delivery
  • Support design reviews, problem-solving activities, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Mentor and support junior engineering personnel where required
  • Ensure engineering activities are delivered to quality, cost, and timeline expectations

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within equipment design and manufacturing environments
  • Strong background in mechanical design and engineering project delivery
  • Experience leading engineering projects within manufacturing, heavy engineering, machinery, or OEM environments
  • Strong CAD experience with 3D design packages such as SolidWorks or similar
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical standards
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes including fabrication and welding
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
  • Good problem-solving and project coordination capability
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office packages

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working with mobile equipment or heavy machinery
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems and related components
  • Experience using FEA analysis tools
  • Understanding of ERP or PDM/PLM systems
  • Exposure to electrical or control systems within machinery environments
