Vickerstock are partnering a leading global manufacturer seeking to appoint a Senior Technical Support Engineer to join its technical support team in Omagh. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic expertise to take ownership of complex technical investigations while supporting a global dealer and customer network.
Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will act as a senior technical authority, diagnosing machine issues, driving root cause analysis and contributing directly to product improvement initiatives across an internationally recognised product portfolio.
- Provide senior-level technical support to dealers and customers across a global network.
- Lead the diagnosis and resolution of complex mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
- Act as a key escalation point for technical issues through the company helpdesk system.
- Work closely with Engineering and Quality teams to improve product reliability and performance.
- Develop and maintain technical procedures, service documentation and commissioning guides.
- Support new product development activities, including prototype testing and validation.
- Provide field service support when required, including opportunities for international travel.
Proven experience in a senior technical support, service engineering or customer-facing engineering role. Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems. Experience working with heavy plant, machinery, crushing, screening or similar equipment. Background in installation, commissioning and maintenance activities. Experience with three-phase electrical systems, AC drives and inverter technology. HNC/HND or Degree qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
