Vickerstock are working in partnership with a manufacturing firm on the appointment of a Health and Safety Officer .
As an EHS Officer, you will be responsible for undertaking duties covering all aspects of Health and Safety in the workplace.
In your new role:
- Assist in the development of the Company's Health and Safety Management systems across all locations
- Perform and revise risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety Legislation (NI and ROI) for both employees and contractors
- Offer guidance on Health and Safety issues to managers and staff
- Conduct investigations into Health and Safety incidents and near misses
- Prepare monthly Health and Safety reports and compile health and safety statistics
- Undertake site inspections and deliver training to staff
- Ensure that contractors' codes of practice are current and followed by all employees and contractors
What you will need to succeed:
- Experience in a Health and Safety role
- Relevant Health and Safety qualification
- Experience in implementing and managing hazard identification and risk management processes
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation in both NI and ROI
- Experience in conducting Health and Safety investigations
- Experience in managing and implementing Health and Safety management systems
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment
- A driving licence and access to personal transport
Desirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't):
- Experience in the manufacturing industry preferred
- NEBOSH certificate
