Vickerstock are working in partnership with a construction and civil engineering firm on the appointment of a SHEQ Advisor. As a SHEQ Advisor, you will be responsible for Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality assurance on construction projects. Regularly review, update, and communicate all Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies, procedures, rules, and regulations Carry out safety audits, inspections, and investigations; produce reports and ensure ongoing compliance Oversee the preparation and periodic review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements Record, investigate, and implement recommended improvements for all accidents and near-misses Ensure site inductions are delivered to all employees, contractors, and visitors Organise and coordinate SHEQ-related training for employees Manage and update all relevant administrative tasks within the SHEQ Department Support the development of documentation required for the SHEQ Management System to align with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 standards What you will need to succeed: 2+ years' experience within a similar H&S role - Civil Engineering/Construction Relevant Health and Safety qualifications (NEBOSH, etc) Experience with ISO standards and auditing (ISO ) Experience with report writing, organisation or planning Good communication skills IT and numeracy skills (MS Office) Full clean driving license - travel to site required Desirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't): Environmental or Quality certifications Knowledge of Windfarm or Rail works NEBOSH Diploma For a more detailed brief and a confidential conversation on how Vickerstock can help support you with your next move, get in touch with Sam Geddis, our Health and Safety Specialist today.
