The Company:

Our client is a niche specialist, highly innovative Northern Ireland engineering and technology business with an established global customer base across the pharmaceutical, medical device and healthcare sectors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking to appoint a Technical Support Engineer to join their aftersales and customer support function.

The Role:

  • Acting as the primary contact for customer technical support requests
  • Providing remote troubleshooting support via phone, email and remote access tools
  • Coordinating technical support activities with international service teams
  • Supporting fault finding and repair of returned equipment
  • Managing and tracking support requests through internal systems
  • Prioritising and triaging incoming customer issues efficiently
  • Supporting continuous improvement activities through root cause analysis
  • Assisting with customer documentation, FAQs and technical help content
  • Supporting opportunities for service contracts, warranties and aftersales support
  • Occasional travel to customer sites and trade events as required

What You Will Need:

  • 3rd level qualification ideally within a relatable Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or Software Engineering discipline (This role may suit a Graduate Engineer also)
  • Experience within a technical support, service engineering or customer support environment
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting ability across technical equipment
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple customer requests in a fast-paced environment
